Purpose of this Blog

I am trying to develop an example of what having a Teacher Blog as opposed to teacher web would look like. If you have a moment , could you take a look a look around and tell me what else you would like to see or not see? This blog is what I would use for my job in place of Teacher Web.

Benefits of this type of situation:

  • we are self-hosting so we can have control over many aspects, such as the total size limits for uploads
  • the address would be easy to remember for parents
  • info is search-able

What are your initial thoughts on this? Any feedback would be welcomed as I am trying something new and am in uncharted waters for me.

    I really like the blog idea vs. teacher web. The only thing I would like to see added is a way to “newsflash” parents without having to set up a group email. I like that feature on teacher web ALOT!
