Career Day 2008
On April 17th students attended sessions on various careers. This videocast features pictures of our presenters and interviews with students on what they learned. TAKS Math 2008
Eighth graders will be taking the Math TAKS on April 8th. Seventh and sixth graders will be tested April 29th. Once again this is an important year for the 8th graders, who must pass the test to be promoted to the 9th grade. This presentation was created by Karen McLinden and covers the basics of the math test and what parents can do to help prepare their student. If you have questions or want more information, please contact your child’s math teacher.

TAKS and SSI
SSI is the Student Success Initiative and was enacted 1999. Beginning this school year 8th grade students must pass the reading and math TAKS in order to move to high school. This presentation explains what every parent and student in the 8th grade should know going into TAKS.

On March 5th seventh grade students will be taking the Writing TAKS. This presentation addresses what every parent needs to know going into the day of testing. If you have further questions, please contact your child’s Language Arts teacher or Ms. Osborne.

This year is crucial for 8th graders, as they have to pass the test in order to promoted to 9th grade. Sixth and seventh grade students will be taking the reading test in April.
