Bring textbook Tuesday and Wednesday!

2nd period earned “no homework for the week”, so all homework applies to 3rd period only.  Students in 3rd period each received one “No Homework Pass” to be used on one assignment this week.

Week of April 27-May 1

Monday – Normal class day – no homework tonight!

Tuesday – DO YOUR BEST ON THE MATH TAKS!!! – Bring reading log/book to class if you need reading log minutes.  If not, I’ll have something for you to do.  Just bring a pencil.  No homework tonight!

Wednesday – modified schedule – no class

Thursday – Just bring yourself to class – We will be playing a game.   No homework tonight!  Thursday is the LAST day to turn in money for March of Dimes for our class.

Instructions for TAKS review – Due Monday!

A TAKS review packet was handed out in class today.  It is due Monday. 

EVERYONE must work the first page (front and back).  This is a general review of skills that we believe may be seen on TAKS.

Everyone that turned in their purple TAKS practice packet and scantron received a data analysis page today.  This page indicates which questions were missed.  It also gives correct answers.

For each question missed, students need to find that question in the TAKS review packet.  These questions are arranged by objective, so they will not be in numerical order.  Each missed question must be answered correctly and proven.  Proof can be given in words, pictures, equations, etc.  A circled answer will not do.  There must be proof.

Students do NOT need to answer questions that they got correct the first time around.

If I do not have a completed TAKS practice packet (purple) and answer document from you, you must answer and prove ALL of the questions on the TAKS review packet.  I recommend you get your scantrons back to me TOMORROW!!

Geometry Vocabulary

A vocabulary sheet  (words and definitions) was handed out in class today.  I will pass out the remaining words tomorrow.  Students need to provide the picture.  Please show these to Mrs. Hazen by next Wednesday.  You will receive a bonus point per day for turning it in early!
